Great atmosphere, as soon as you walk into the sales floor there is a good buzz which keeps you motivated. We have so many products we can sell so we always can sell to all customers, you also have the BT name behind you and have an endless supply of leads. It's also a fast turnaround for sales so you don't have to wait very long to get a good deal. Can you give a summary of your job at RSTO? I work in the website team so i am responsible for selling high value websites as well as some other BT products. What has been the most interesting project you've worked on at RSTO? Websites are very interesting, so much to learn. I worked on a big website sale for my client who has a family tree site so i worked closely with the developer for some months and was great achievement when they deal came in signed. What advice would you give to new employees joining RSTO? Work hard and you will be rewarded. You start off selling small websites and if you do well you are fully encouraged/trained on much larger projects which are more interesting and allow you to hit big numbers each month. When I interviewed for the role, they explained that there was real potential to be promoted quickly. I joined the Customer Services team with limited experience and within a year I was promoted to Team Leader and my team grew from 3 to 12 in that time What do you enjoy most about working at RSTO? My team get on well with each other and create a fun environment for everyone to work in. In addition, we have been rewarded for our hard work and achieving our goals. As a result, we have been on many team building activities and days out as a team. In many companies, you don't always get praised for what you do, but at RSTO we always do. What advice would you give to new employees joining RSTO? Take initiative, do your job well and you will get recognised and rewarded. What have you learnt from working at RSTO? When I joined RSTO, I only had Customer Service experience and very limited knowledge of websites. During my time here I have learnt loads, from hosting to servers to domains. I am now more or less an expert. Name: Piotr Buczkowski Title: PHP Developer Why did you decide to join RSTO? I think RSTO is a company which offers good circumstances to develop yourself. You can learn a lot of new things here, and the atmosphere at work is very good – the relations between co-workers is very friendly and you can always count on them. Can you give a summary of your job at RSTO? I am developing special requirements for clients on the sites they have. In the majority of cases I deal with parts of these sites. For example, different ways of displaying something or additional operations done on a database. Everything is according to clients' needs. Sometimes it changes the original look of the component completely, because I adapt it to the requirements. What has been the most interesting project you've worked on at RSTO? It is a very big project – like a social portal, which offers users the possibility to share their photos/videos/blogs. It is kind of genealogical portal, where you can create your family tree. It was especially interesting for me as I have worked on my own family tree for the last 14 years. So this was familiar to my interests. What advice would you give to new employees joining RSTO? Not to be afraid and to do your work the best you can. Nobody knows everything, so you can always count on help from co-workers. The rest will go smoothly.
