Established in 2001, RSTO is now regarded as one of the UKs largest web based Sales, design and ecommerce firms.  We work in partnership with worldwide blue chip organizations to deliver online solutions to the UK’s rapidly growing SME sector. 

Housed in a converted old warehouse on the Shore in Leith, Edinburgh, we are hard at work growing and expanding our business on both a practical and commercial level.  As a result recruitment has been constant and we can now be considered as one of the biggest employers of Sales Executives within the web and eCommerce sector in Edinburgh.

In 2010, we saw our headcount grow by at least 50% across Sales, Development and Operations.  And over the past two and a half years we have seen it grow by 230%.  We now employ 130 staff and are currently running a recruitment drive for Sales professionals of various levels.  I’m sure you will agree, that this is impressive growth in the face of a recession that has seen so many companies fall victim to downsizing and redundancies.

Last year, our only limitation for growth was physical capacity within our current premises and it became clear that if we want to continue such growth, we would need to expand our offices or relocate.  As we like our current offices and feel very at home, we decided to expand within the building and work is underway to construct a beautiful, bright open plan office to re-house our Sales division.  See below to see the work in progress:

Traditionally, RSTO have hired candidates with a background in B2B sales across a variety of sectors and have focused heavily on providing high quality training to bring new starts up to speed with our product offerings and services.  Moving into 2011, we intend to remain focused within this area and our newly formed Training division is working hard to develop and improve our offerings in this area.  In addition, we are also calling on highly experienced sales and business development professionals with a background in Technical/ Web based sales to join us at a senior level and work with clients on a more consultative basis.

We are continuing to run Sales Assessment Centres on a fortnightly basis and have the capability to assess up to 12 candidates at a time.  Our Trainer, Robert has had excellent feedback from all candidates who have attended and said they felt comfortable, at ease and able to demonstrate their sales ability well throughout the morning.  We have so far ran two assessment mornings this year and employed 8 people from the process and expect to continue hiring at the same rate for the whole of the 1st quarter at least.
